A Growing Movement: Bibles in Schools
By Hannah Sailsbury

A Bible for Every School Library

In 2018, I felt God prompting me to provide my elementary students with a version of the Bible they could easily understand. So, I donated an Action Storybook Bible to my school library. Within a few days of being placed on the shelf, the Bible had already been checked out, with several students waiting for their turn to read it.

Read the entire origin story in the 2019 TOV article “Bibles in Schools.”

During the next several months, the demand continued to grow, and I received further prompting from God. Fast forward one year—I launched the nonprofit organization Bibles in Schools with a mission to donate engaging Bibles to public school libraries and other child-centered facilities.

Since then, thanks to the thousands of people who have joined this movement, Bibles in Schools has expanded its impact:

27K+ Bibles & books donated
4K+ School libraries reached
50 States served
